A presto Gianluca.

“I loved B&B Valentina”
I loved B&B Valentina! Orvieto is stunning and Valentina runs a fantastic B&B. Rooms were huge, spotlessly clean and had an old world charm. Valentina was a delightful and helpful host. I would definitely stay here again should I have the pleasure of returning to Orvieto someday.

I have been cominng to Valentina’s for 6 years and I would not stay at any other place. This is real Italian life and love . It is quiet, perfectly located and very clean. Valentina and her mother respect your privacy and are very helpful. Ther are all the walking sites close by and only 1 hour by train to Rome. The best all around.

Valentina’s is cozy, comfortable, and spotless. Rooms are spacious, and the B&B is situated close to the historic central city. Valentina is a wonderful hostess.
“A great place in a great location at a great price !”
Pat & Henry from KS March 2009
Our room was cozy and comfortable. The bathroom had a shower that was larger than most of the ones I have seen in Italy. We had a small balcony looking out on an enclosed courtyard. The location is very central in the historical center. Valentina speaks excellent English and is very helpful with restaurant recommendations, reservations, places to see, and calling taxis. At 75 euros a night this is a good value in a great town.
“This is the perfect place to stay in Orvieto “

This is the perfect place to stay in Orvieto. The rooms are lovely, the location is great, and the host, Valentina, is very helpful and welcoming. I highly recommend Valentina’s B & B. It is fabulous! The B & B has two double rooms, a triple (larger double room with an extra single bed), a studio apartment, and a two-bedroom apartment. Valentina showed us all of them during our stay there and all were beautifully decorated and cozy. Everything has been renovated perfectly and is very well thought out. The bed was very comfortable. The double room we were in wasn’t big, but it had a little balcony. The rooms are immaculate and there’s cleaning service every day and fresh towels. Overall, a great place to stay and a very good deal for the price!
“Very clean and confortable”

We stayed 2 nights at Valentina’s, we were met by her mother and promptly taken to our room. The room was tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a nice size, towel heater and very good water pressure in the shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was good and placed outside in the hall at 8:30 a.m. They had coffee, cereal, yogurt, rolls, fruit tart and meat. It had turned cool that evening and when we came back to our room they had replaced the blanket on the bed with a nice warm comforter. Everybody was helpful and friendly. Would recommend this B&B and would stay there again.
Liked — Hot shower and good water pressure
Disliked — Nothing

“Great value for the money”
Mucca212 from CT December 2006
We just got back from a 5 night stay at Valentina’s B&B in Orvieto, Italy. She was recommended in Rick Steves’ book and had good reviews when I did research online. I traveled with my husband, my 20 yr old daughter and my 18 yr old son. We stayed in her large apartment on the 3rd floor, with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths (the one bathroom has a hand held shower in the tub; water pressure and heat were good. The other had a shower). Since we were basically 4 adults, we wanted a place to stretch out and have our own space if need be. The one bedroom had two twin beds and our room had a large bed (I think it was king size-definitely not a full, we’re used to a king). Some of the ceilings were sloped, and we’re tall people, but we managed fine. There was a nice kitchen/living room combination and the one bath had a washer in it, which came in handy. Valentina put a rack in our apartment for drying and it worked great. Our total trip was 12 days (we stayed 3 days in Sorrento and then took the train to Orvieto), so we packed light and figured on doing some wash during our stop in Orvieto. Having it in the apartment was a godsend! There was a small fridge, oven and cooktop; although we only used the frig. The apt was cleaned everyday, which is unusual for an apt (she has a young couple working for her–very nice couple) and although the towels were interesting (they were linen), they worked great! We didn’t have the breakfast because it wasn’t included with the apartment. The B&B is on an alley but right behind one of the main piazza’s so there were plenty of places to eat or pick up things to bring back to the apt. Saturday there was a big outdoor market on this piazza–lots of fresh fruit, cheese, nuts—yumm! We walked EVERYWHERE! You can drive in Orvieto, but the cobblestone streets are small and the drivers are crazy, so we walked and it was never a problem. The town was charming and everywhere we ate was amazing. From Orvieto we took a train (Orvieto has it’s own train station-which is one reason we picked it) to Florence for a day–not far at all, and we rented a car one day (Hertz is near the train station) to drive through the umbrian countryside–gorgeous. Another day we did a cooking class at an agriturismo in Baschi called Borgo Fontanile. It was a “Velia’s Cooking Style” class and it was a blast! Velia and GianLuca have a small bar in Orvieto–the Champagneria–and we stopped there to say goodbye when we left Orvieto. Velia sent me away with a bag of goodies! The class was so much fun–we made (and ate) all kinds of things–homemade pasta, homemade pizza, appetizers, dessert, pork roast–and we had a champagne tasting, wine tasting and olive oil tasting! Our pizza crusts were baked in the outdoor wooden oven, and the hosts of Borgo Fontanile, Paola and Dominico were wonderful. It was my kids’ most favorite part of our trip. But I digress, Valentina was a very nice, gracious woman (speaks good English), very helpful, her place was very clean and well maintained, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat! Great value for the money. From Orvieto, we took a train to Rome (about an hour or so) for the last leg of our trip. However, we left our heart in Orvieto!
